About
Olu Oyenakpagha, also known as Olu Obanighenren, was the 8th Olu of the Warri Kingdom, ruling over the Itsekiri people from approximately 1643 to 1653. He was the son of Olu Atuwatse I (Olu Dom Domingos), the 7th Olu of Warri, and was also known by the Christian name Don Antonio Domingos. He was originally named Omonighenren, meaning 'Prince with the golden skin,' and upon ascending the throne was renamed Obanighenren, meaning 'King with the golden skin.'
