About

The Asagba of Asaba, also referred to as the Eze of Asaba, is the traditional ruler of the Asaba Kingdom in present‑day Delta State, Nigeria. The kingdom was founded by Nnebisi in the 17th or 18th century, and its early history is preserved through oral tradition. Little specific information is independently verifiable about the third ruler, Anagwonu, son of Anyagbara. The line of succession from Nnebisi through his descendants forms the basis of the royal lineage, with each successive Eze serving as the custodian of Asaba’s culture and political authority.
