About
Olu Ojoluwa was an Itsekiri traditional ruler who reigned as the 4th Olu of the Warri Kingdom. He succeeded his father, Olu Irame, and was crowned Ogiame Ojoluwa at Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral home of the Itsekiri people. He reigned for about nineteen years (c. 1550 – c. 1569), during which he commenced the integration of the Ekpen (Ekpenede) descendants of Okere with the local population of the kingdom. He was succeeded by his son, Olu Esigie, and buried at Ijala in the Warri Kingdom.
