Aghworemuo served as the third Orodje (king) of the Okpe Kingdom, a prominent Urhobo traditional state in present-day Delta State, Nigeria. He was a son of Omadoghwuo, who is regarded as the first Orodje and a founding figure of the kingdom. The Orodje is the paramount ruler of the Okpe people, whose capital is at Orerokpe. Aghworemuo’s reign formed part of the early consolidation of the Okpe polity in the pre-colonial era. Details of his life are largely preserved in oral tradition and remain an important part of Okpe royal history.
