About
Igho was the fourth Orodje (king) of the Okpe Kingdom, a traditional Urhobo state in present-day Delta State, Nigeria. He was the son of Aghworemuo and ascended the throne in 1945, reviving the monarchy after a prolonged interregnum that followed the earlier Orodjes. His reign marked the restoration of centralized traditional authority in Okpe after decades of governance by councils and clan heads. Igho worked to foster unity and development across Okpe communities, and his long tenure witnessed significant social and economic changes in the region. He died in 2005 and was succeeded by Orhue I in 2006.
