Ezeana
Obi of Ogwashi-Uku
Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom
About
Ezeana was the third Obi of Ogwashi-Uku, an Enuani (Anioma) kingdom in present-day Delta State, Nigeria. He succeeded his father, Aku, who had been the second Obi, continuing the royal lineage founded by Obi Adaigbo. Ezeana’s reign belongs to the early formative centuries of the kingdom, a period when the emerging monarchy was consolidating its authority over outlying villages and establishing key chieftaincy institutions. Little detailed narrative survives, but his name is preserved in the traditional regnal list as a link in the unbroken succession that defines Ogwashi-Uku’s monarchy.
