Ezebue I
Obi of Aboh
Aboh Kingdom
About
Ezebue I, also known as Ezebu, was the third Obi of the Aboh Kingdom, an Ukwuani state in present-day Delta State, Nigeria. He succeeded his father, Udogwu I, around 1530 and ruled until approximately 1565. His reign belongs to the early dynastic period of the kingdom, a time when Aboh was establishing itself as a significant political and commercial centre along the lower Niger River. Details of his life and specific accomplishments are not preserved in surviving records, but as a direct descendant of the founder Oputa, he continued the royal lineage that shaped the kingdom’s identity.
