Emily Corser is a princess of the royal house of Onicha-Olona, a town in Delta State, Nigeria. Her royal blood comes down to her from the kings and queens of her family there.

Long ago, King Agbogidi Emeyazia ruled Onicha-Olona. He married Princess Omalicha — a princess from the neighbouring town of Atuma, whose name means “Beauty”. That makes King Emeyazia Emily's great-great-grandfather, and Princess Omalicha her great-great-grandmother.
