About
Olu Ginuwa II (born Emiko Ikengbuwa) was a Nigerian traditional ruler and paramount leader of the Itsekiri people who served as the 17th Olu of Warri Kingdom from 1936 to 1949. He was a grandson (described in some sources as great-grandson) of Olu Akengbuwa, the previous Olu who died in 1848, and his coronation on 7 February 1936 ended an 88-year interregnum during which Warri's political leadership had been dominated by merchant princes. He was succeeded by his son, Erejuwa II, who became the 18th Olu of Warri.
