About
Anthony E. Abiloye II was the eighth Ovie (traditional ruler) of the Mein Kingdom, an Ijaw community in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. He succeeded his father, Abiloye I, who was the seventh Ovie of Mein. As the Ovie, he held a first-class chieftaincy title under the Delta State Chieftaincy Law and served as a member of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers. His reign was part of the continuum of the Mein monarchy, which plays a central role in the cultural and political life of the Mein people.
