Ika I served as the seventh Dein of Agbor, a traditional monarch of the Ika people in present-day Delta State, Nigeria. His reign is traditionally placed in the mid-to-late 17th century, around 1650 to 1680. The Dein institution traces its origins to the early Agbor Kingdom, which emerged from waves of migration and political consolidation linked to the Benin Empire. As with many early Deins, specific details of Ika I’s life and rule have not survived in written record, and oral histories typically offer little more than his place in the dynastic list.
